Hong’an Group places great emphasis on collaborative innovation in industry, academia, and research, and has established long-term and stable partnerships with multiple universities, including Harbin Institute of Technology (Weihai) and Shandong University (Weihai). Together, we have developed over a hundred new products for optoelectronic communication cables, won several provincial-level and above science and technology progress awards, and hold more than 200 national patents.
The group has mastered the core technology of optical fiber preform manufacturing with independent intellectual property rights, and has undertaken three national key projects, including the National Torch Plan, key projects funded by special funds from treasury bonds, and national industrial revitalization projects, as well as multiple major projects at the provincial and municipal levels in Shandong Province and Weihai City.
In 2018, the first phase of the optical fiber preform project was awarded the title of “Shandong Intelligent Manufacturing Pilot Demonstration” and received significant financial support from Weihai City for the conversion of old and new growth drivers. In 2019, the intelligent manufacturing project based on the entire industry chain was selected as a “Shandong 5G Industry Demonstration Project”. “Research and Application Demonstration of Key Technologies for Ultra-Low Loss Optical Fiber Preparation” was included in the key research and development plan of Shandong Province, and “Research and Industrialization of Key Technologies for Low Water Peak Optical Fiber Preform” was approved as a science and technology development project in Weihai City.
Hong’an Technology Center has jointly established a research and development base with scientific research institutions such as Shanghai Cable Research Institute, Wuhan Research Institute of Posts and Telecommunications, and Tianjin University, fully leveraging their respective advantages in technology, space, and funding to achieve a powerful alliance. This collaboration continuously drives optical cable technology to the forefront of the industry, ensuring that Hong’an’s new product development remains at the international leading level.
